Roma are looking to make Alexis Saelemaekers loan move from AC Milan permanent in the summer.

Roma and Milan have agreed a loan-swap deal for Saelemaekers and Tammy Abraham on deadline day, with neither deal including a buy-out clause at the end of the season.

Now six months on, Saelemaekers has been in impressive form for Roma, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 12 appearances, although he has missed most of the season with a fractured ankle.

According to Calciomercato, Roma are keen to keep hold of the Belgium international and it is a feeling that is mutually beneficial.

Milan are expect to receive at least €15m for his permanent sale this summer, but the situation is likely to be resolve sooner than expect.

If they can get the deal done this month, it will give the Rossoneri enough funds to bring in a new striker this summer.

oma, currently under the guidance of Claudio Ranieri, who will step into a director role at the end of the 2024-25 season, are planning a large overhaul of their squad over the coming months.
